Recently, four guests at Michael's House visited freshman health classes at Ludlow High School to share their stories of addiction and recovery. They discussed their journeys and experiences both in high school and into adulthood; sharing some of the challenges they will also likely face.

Maureen Rooney, MJD Foundation Board Member, explained that this collaboration has been taking place for the past three years and has been well received by LHS students, staff and administration.

Following the interaction students had the opportunity to share their thoughts. One student stated, " I learned not to do drugs, and not to make choices that will  hurt myself and others"  Another commented," Anyone can be a victim to substance use. It doesn't take much to become addicted."
